In a maze of cargos, my screen is covered with them, on deck nothing, just 15 to 20 kts of wind, waves 1 to 2m, overcast and the howl... at the chart table surrounded by screen lights and the VHF crackling. We are 7.5 to 8.5 kts straight for the Straits, the wind should have let up and veered by now and hasn’t. Esa and Jorgen are asleep, Juha is on deck. I sleep a bit here and there, but the stress is up and I’ll sleep in the daylight. Every so often we get hit by a wave and the whole boat shutters, but none have come aboard in the last 2 hours.
