Yesterday at around 1500 we finally got wind out of the N, light in the beginning and building. We are on our course straight for the Straits doing 6.5 to 7.5 kts, the sky is overcast and ominous, the sea .5 to 1m and choppy, there is more and more traffic, the radar is now on and on standby, the computer and AIS on also (both of which are usually off to conserve electricity), I am sleeping dressed and up once an hour, most of the cargos take preventive action to avoid us, one last night didn’t and we had to stall to let a container ship pass - we had a CPA of 0.56 to O.OO for 1.5 hours while I haggled with them in broken english. ETA for the mouth of the Straits is early in the morning on the 23... xxxxp
